Service Learning Reflection

At the last meeting that we had we talked on the fundraising ideas and we decided that Gorgia and myself would write letters to our school partners and to businesses in Philly to sponser our efforts in funding. We also decided to talk on the Walk-athon idea and lots of people did agree to do it if we were going to do it. We decided on selling the wrist bands like they did for cancer and breast cancer a few years back, but instead these wrist bands are green and say save Darfur. We have Sharde, Terrence, and John working on creating a 5 minute documentary on info about Darfur. Kate and I think one other person were designing an informational brochure on Darfur. We also talked about reading to different school students about Darfur and going to other schools to talk about Darfur. Also talked about getting Philly higher ups (like Mayor Nutter) to help us in spreading the word about us. Aslo we wanted to create a website.
