NHD REFLECTION
When I started the project abolitionist movements and anti-slavery. Prior to doing the non-slave states rejection of the Fugitive Slave Act of 185 I was researching the Philadelphia Vigilance Committee and how it caused conflict with the south. Then I switched to the Fugitive Slave Act of 1850 because of the lack of Primary resources. Doing an exhibit was my best choice mainly because I was free to display my information and my opinions creatively. My project relates to this years NHD theme because of the tensions and conflict in my project is between the northern (non-slave) states and the southern (slave) states. My subject never came to a reasonable compromise both thought their ways are correct and justified so my subject ended in the Civil War. My conflict isn’t only between north and south but also the government at that time. Next year I plan on working with a partner to see how everything turns out. Also, this years experience will help me to do better next year.
